| Les Petites Racines |

Les Petites Racines is a space within Les Racines Connectées (LRC) dedicated to children, care, and the future generations who will inherit the systems we build today.

This work is rooted in the belief that regeneration must include tenderness — not only for land and ecosystems, but for young people learning how to belong to the world around them.

Why Children Matter Here

Children experience the effects of environmental, social, and technological systems long before they have any power to shape them.

Les Petites Racines exists to center care, curiosity, and connection in the way children encounter learning, creativity, and the living world. It asks how we might design experiences that nurture trust, imagination, and ecological awareness — without urgency or pressure to perform.

A Gentle Approach

This work moves slowly and intentionally.

Les Petites Racines is guided by principles of safety, accessibility, and emotional care. Projects within this space prioritize age-appropriate engagement, respect for children’s autonomy, and an understanding that learning often happens through play, observation, and shared presence.

What Lives Here

Initiatives within Les Petites Racines may include:

  • Creative and educational activities grounded in ecology and care
  • Storytelling and imaginative practices that foster connection with nature
  • Intergenerational projects that invite shared learning
  • Quiet spaces for reflection, play, and curiosiy
  • Materials and offerings design with children’s well-being at the center

Each offering is shaped with attentiveness to context and community.

Looking Toward the Future

Les Petites Racines is not a program to be scaled or standardized.

It is a living practice that grows in response to the needs of children, families, and communities — always with an eye toward the future we are collectively creating.

By tending to small roots with care, we help ensure that what grows later is resilient, compassionate, and alive.
