Le Collectif Racine is a nonprofit collective dedicated to regenerative ways of living, creating, and building together. We exist to explore how systems — technological, social, and ecological — can be designed to heal rather than extract.
Our work grows from a simple question: What would our communities look like if care, reciprocity, and long-term stewardship were treated as foundational infrastructure?
Our Philosophy
Modern systems are often built for speed, scale, and control. While these priorities have shaped much of the world we live in today, they have also contributed to disconnection — from land, from one another, and from ourselves.
Le Collectif Racine takes a different approach.
We believe regeneration begins at the roots. It asks us to slow down, to listen, and to design with living systems rather than over them. This means valuing relationship over efficiency, resilience over optimization, and shared responsibility over ownership.
A Decentralized Collective
Le Collectif Racine is decentralized by design. There is no single model we seek to replicate or scale indiscriminately. Instead, we cultivate locally grounded projects that respond to the specific needs, histories, and ecologies of their environments.
Each initiative within the collective is connected, yet capable of standing on its own — much like a living root system, spreading outward while remaining nourished by shared values.
What We Do
Our work takes many forms, but all of it is rooted in applied care and thoughtful systems design.
- We design and steward place-based projects, such as The Living Sanctuary Series, that invite community participation and ecological awareness.
- We publish writings and teachings that reflect on regeneration, systems, and lived experience.
- We develop audio storytelling and conversations to center voice, memory, and embodied knowledge.
- We engage in creative collaborations that merge art, ecology, and human connection.
- We nurture Les Petites Racines, initiatives focused on children, learning, gentleness, and the future generations who will inherit what we build.
How We Work
Le Collectif Racine operates through partnership, experimentation, and care. We prioritize transparency, ethical collaboration, and long-term thinking over rapid growth or visibility.
Some projects unfold quietly. Others take shape in public spaces. All are guided by the same commitment: to create systems and stories that honor life.
An Invitation
This collective is not a static structure. It is a living practice.
Whether you arrive here as a reader, collaborator, neighbor, or fellow steward of the living world, you are welcome to explore, learn, and grow with us — at your own pace.
